THE STRIPE CHALLENGE

Client revenue data lives in someone else's dashboard

As a fractional CFO or CTO advising SaaS and subscription businesses, the metrics that matter most — MRR, churn signals, unpaid invoices — live inside each client's Stripe account. Checking them means asking for access or a screenshare every time.

Fraxo's Stripe integration lets each client connect their own Stripe account with a secret or restricted API key. Revenue, subscription, and invoice data syncs into their client workspace where you can see it alongside deliverables, hours, and health scores.

Use a Stripe Restricted key for read-only access to exactly the resources needed — balances, charges, subscriptions, customers, invoices — and nothing else.

CONNECTED DATA

What you can pull from Stripe

Monthly Recurring Revenue

MRR calculated automatically from active subscriptions, normalized across monthly and annual billing intervals.

Available Balance

Current available balance across all currencies — the cash position that matters for a fractional CFO.

Revenue Tracking

All-time and trailing 30-day revenue from successful, non-refunded charges.

Invoice Health

Paid vs. outstanding invoice counts so you can spot collection issues before the client mentions them.

Subscription & Customer Counts

Active subscriptions and total customers — growth signals for board updates and monthly reports.

AI-Powered Insights

Stripe metrics feed Fraxo's AI insights — "3 invoices outstanding totaling $4,200" — without you doing the math.

HOW IT WORKS

Connect with a key, not a screenshare

Step 1: In the client workspace, open Integrations and select Stripe.

Step 2: Have the client create a Secret key (sk_live_...) or Restricted key (rk_live_...) with read access in their Stripe Dashboard under Developers → API Keys.

Step 3: Paste the key into Fraxo. It's verified against the Stripe API, encrypted, and revenue data starts syncing immediately.

Keys are encrypted at rest and never exposed after entry. Restricted keys are recommended for least-privilege access.

FAQ

Common questions about the Stripe integration

Yes — you use a Stripe restricted key with read-only permissions, so Fraxo can read data but can never charge, refund, or modify anything. Keys are encrypted at rest.
