THE SLACK CHALLENGE

Five clients, five Slack workspaces

Fractional executives live inside their clients' Slack workspaces — but each one is a separate login, a separate sidebar, and a separate context. There's no way to see channel activity or team size across clients without opening each workspace individually.

Fraxo's Slack integration connects each client's workspace to their Fraxo dashboard. Once connected with a read-only bot token, you can see channel counts, workspace details, and team size — context that feeds directly into AI-generated client insights.

Client credentials stay encrypted and scoped to read-only access. When the engagement ends, disconnecting takes one click.

CONNECTED DATA

What you can pull from Slack

Channel Visibility

See how many public channels exist in each client workspace and which ones the integration can read.

Team Size

Active member counts per workspace — useful for headcount context in fractional COO and CHRO engagements.

Workspace Identity

Confirm which workspace is connected to which client at a glance — no more guessing which Slack belongs to whom.

AI-Powered Insights

Slack metrics flow into Fraxo's AI insights engine, which combines them with deliverables and hours to flag what needs attention.

Encrypted Storage

Bot tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and used only to fetch data for that client.

One-Click Disconnect

Clients can revoke access instantly — you never hold credentials after the engagement ends.

HOW IT WORKS

Connect in under two minutes

Step 1: In your client workspace, open Integrations and select Slack.

Step 2: Create a Slack app at api.slack.com/apps with read scopes (channels:read, users:read, team:read), install it to the client workspace, and copy the Bot User OAuth Token.

Step 3: Paste the token into Fraxo. It's verified instantly, encrypted, and the workspace data appears in the client dashboard.

The token is stored encrypted and can be revoked at any time from Slack or from Fraxo.
